Jouissance and suffering are an effraction that moves the psychoanalytic experience and troubles philosophy. Why? Because philosophy, prudent, has often pleaded the silencing of passions.
But the paradoxes of the analytical treatment and of the symptoms, simultaneously failure and jouissance, defy virtues and philosophical categories and push truth to its limits. Pain, grief and sublimation question the philosophical corpus and its dialectical lures. Anthropology also suggests suffering and enjoyment as collective creations and cultural. Beyond symptoms and sublimation, jouissance and suffering mark the body with their scarlet letter.
